If you’ve been following the latest in mobile acquisitions, you might have run across the news that Corona Labs’ previous owner Fuse Powered itself was recently acquired by Upsight.

While an original plan had called for the Fuse Powered plugin to generally be made available to Corona developers, this is no longer the case for the foreseeable future.

We are told by Fuse Powered that while a Fuse Powered plugin for Corona SDK is of interest to them, their focus and priorities lie in integrating their SDK with the Upsight SDK in a combined solution.

Developers who are currently using the Fuse Powered plugin in their apps should rest assured knowing that Fuse Powered will continue maintaining the plugin and Corona Labs will do its best to support them in this effort.

This announcement is specifically for those who had been considering integrating the Fuse Powered plugin should it be released. Given we don’t know when Fuse Powered will be ready for new Corona SDK users, you should consider our other monetization options.

    Unfortunate…for Fuse. I was using this plug-in, but after getting some experience with it decided to use Vungle instead. Glad I made the switch already.

    Thanks for the update. I’m wondering, with all the new options, it would be nice to have a blog post summarizing, comparing and contrasting each of the monetization options available. I realize you have linked to the “monetization options” page, but that doesn’t compare and contrast, and it’s not comprehensive. Something that covered all the possible options would be fantastic.

    Well its a small world. Playhaven used to be good plugin for Corona. Upsight buys Playhaven. Upsight Sells Playhaven. Playhaven stops paying all its customers(owes me $700). Corona Removes Playhaven plugin. Upsight buys Corona. Does Upsight know what happend with Playhaven?

      Russ, Upsight did not buy Corona. Upsight bought FusePowered who used to own Corona. You raise interesting points though! I am sorry you got shorted money! I hope you have been having better success with other ad providers since then.

    Just always use the big standard providers, i.e. Admob
