Welcome GameSparks to the Corona plugin suite

Welcome GameSparks to the Corona plugin suite

Corona Labs is pleased to announce the immediate availability of a new plugin, GameSparks, a Backend-as-a-Service (BaaS) platform for game developers.

The GameSparks platform provides developers with a single integrated tool to build all of the server-side components of their games, as well as fine-tune these post-launch. The GameSparks portal contains a broad feature set for social and multiplayer games including leaderboards, achievements, chat, and a full range of real-time and turn-based multiplayer options such as tournaments, lobbies, and matchmaking. The online service can also manage your in-game economics by handling currency, virtual goods, and in-app purchases. Atop all of this, it can provide server-side logic and create a custom back office to manage your game, all of which is created without developers ever having to set-up and run a server themselves.

GameSparks CTO Gabriel Page said: “Like Corona, GameSparks dedicates itself to accelerating the development process, and is passionate about enabling triple-A and independent developers alike to build and maintain great games throughout their lifecycle. By teaming up with Corona Labs to provide a direct integration for GameSparks on the Marketplace, we are now able to streamline this process even further, helping even more developers to build, tune and manage highly engaging and creative games.”
