Big Corona Meetup Coming Soon!

Big Corona Meetup Coming Soon!

Okay gang, mark your calendar for December 1, 2012 because at 2pm Eastern we will be kicking off the first ever Big Corona Meetup on Google+. It’s going to be a 6 hour Google+ On Air Hangout devoted entirely to mobile app development using the Corona SDK.

In the first 2 hours, Jen Looper is going to kick things off from Boston Massachusetts with an introduction to the Corona SDK. Once that part of the session is finished she’ll be joined by a graphic designer in Connecticut who will give tips on creating graphics for mobile devices.

Next, Dr. Brian Burton in Abilene Texas be will taking an in-depth look at putting together an Astroids style game app. He’ll also show how to work with sprite sheets in your mobile apps. Once that part of the session is complete, Dr. Burton will be talking about he Certified Corona Developer Program which is expected to be announced next week.

To wrap things up, Richard Darling in Honolulu Hawaii will be covering social media integration, user tracking, and mobile app marketing. This two hour block will cover a lot of great information, so be prepared to take notes.

The whole event will last 6 hours, but you are welcome to come and go as you need too. I will be curating questions through out the event for question and answer sessions with the presenters, as time allows.

This is going to be one big blow out event and I’m excited to be a part of the whole thing. This is a totally community supported event, so be sure to show your support by stopping in on December 1st, and by sharing this event with all of your social media friends.

Be sure to check out the event page for full details.
